What We Believe

Core beliefs that are taught and lived out by our church.

What We Believe

The Godhead

We believe in one God, eternally existing as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Deuteronomy 6:4, Hebrews 11:6.

Jesus Christ

We believe in Jesus Christ as the son of God who became flesh, born of a virgin. He lived a sinless life, was crucified for our sins, was resurrected from the dead, and ascended, sitting at the right hand of the Father as the exalted Lord and head of the church.

John 1:14, Hebrews 1:1-6, Philippians 2:5-8.

Holy Spirit

We believe that the same Holy Spirit given at Pentecost for the empowering of the church is still working today to equip and release the gifts of the Holy Spirit in His Church today. This anointing will be clearly recognized by signs and wonders manifested throughout His Church and the world.

1 Corinthians 12:1-11, John 14:16-17, Hebrews 13:8, Malachi 3:6.

The Bible

We believe that all Scripture is the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God and is fully reliable and trustworthy.

2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21, Galatians 1:11-12, Proverbs 30:5.

Divine Healing

We believe that Jesus Christ paid the full price for our redemption of Spirit, Soul and Body on the cross of Calvary. By His stripes we were healed.

1 Peter 2:24, Isaiah 53:4-5.

The work is a completed past action. Jesus has empowered His Church to lay hands on the sick and they will recover from all manner of sickness and disease.

Mark 16:17-18.

Man

We believe that God created man in His divine image and likeness. We were made to have a personal relationship with God as well as to take dominion over the earth and subdue it.

Genesis 1:26-27, Genesis 1:31, Psalms 8:8-9.

Sin

We believe, beginning with Adam and Eve’s sinful rebellion, we have all been born with a sinful nature and given over to the enslaving powers of evil and eternal death and separation from God.

Genesis 2 & 3, Romans 1:21-32, 3:12, & 23, Psalm 14:2-3

Salvation

We believe that, only through Jesus Christ, God’s son, God offers salvation from sin and a new beginning. We receive God’s forgiveness and we are born again by the Spirit of God when we acknowledge our sins, repent, and accept Jesus as our Savior and Lord.

John 3:36, Acts 4:12, 1 John 4:14, 1 Corinthians 5:19, Matthew 26:28, Ephesians 2:5-9, Romans 3:20-31

Marriage

We believe that marriage was instituted by God and is to be between one man and one woman in a covenant relationship with God.

Genesis 2:24, Hebrews 13:4, 1 Timothy 3:2.

The Great Commission

We believe that Jesus Christ calls us to discipleship and to take the gospel to all nations, baptizing in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and teaching all that Christ has commanded us.

Philippians 3:10, Matthew 5:7, 28:18-20, Acts 1:8.

Baptism

We believe that the baptism of believers with water is a pledge of their covenant with God. It identifies them with the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. It is an outward sign of an inward work of their cleansing and freedom from sin and their commitment to walk in the way of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 6:1-6, Matthew 28:19, Acts 2:22-24, 36-41

Communion

We believe that through the Lord’s Supper the church renews covenant with God and with each other and to bring remembrance of the life and death of Jesus Christ until he returns.

1 Corinthians 11:23-32, 10:16-17, Luke 22:15-31

Jesus' Second Coming

We believe that Jesus is coming again to gather His saints to Heaven. Those who have no accepted the redemptive work of Jesus Christ will suffer eternal separation from the Godhead and will burn in the Lake of Fire. As believers, we await the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. After this there will be a new Heaven and a new Earth.

1 Corinthians 15:51-58, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Revelation 19:20, 20:10-15, Revelation 21, Romans 11:25-27
